Description
An NVR is the heart of an IP camera system: cameras plug into it, get power over the network cable, and record continuously to its storage. H.265 compression stores more footage on the same drive than older H.264 systems.
Who it’s for
Small businesses, offices and homes building or upgrading a wired security camera system.
Key details
- Up to 8 IP camera channels
- Built-in PoE ports to power cameras
- Supports up to 4K (8MP) cameras
- H.265 video compression
Good to know
Check whether a hard drive is included or needs to be added, and choose a surveillance-rated drive for 24/7 recording. Put the NVR on a UPS so recording continues through short outages.
