Description
A UPS (uninterruptible power supply) switches to battery the instant your power flickers or fails. The 1050VA Back-UPS gives a typical desktop workstation and its networking gear enough runtime to ride out short outages or shut down cleanly, and it filters surges that can damage electronics.
Who it’s for
Home offices and small offices in areas with storms or unstable power, especially anyone running a desktop PC, a NAS, or the modem and router that keep phones and remote work online.
Key details
- 1050VA capacity, 120V
- 8 outlets: a mix of battery-backed and surge-only outlets
- Surge protection for connected equipment
- Ideal for a PC, monitor, modem and router together
Good to know
Put the computer, monitor and network gear on the battery outlets and printers (especially laser printers) on surge-only outlets. Laser printers draw too much power for a desktop UPS. UPS batteries usually last 3–5 years, so plan to replace them.
